Malik Willis showed flashes in the Miami Dolphins’ Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, but there were also clear areas for improvement. His rushing touchdown showed the athleticism Miami wants to weaponize, while the deep passing game and overall game management remain concerns. Wes Goldberg grades Willis’ first start of the season after he finished with a 66.9 passer rating and struggled to connect on throws 20-plus yards downfield. Jeff Hafley remains confident in his quarterback, but Miami needs Willis to clean up the delay-of-game issues, hit more easy throws and become more consistent managing the offense.
